June and July Meetings

June's Meeting will be an in-person, non-TweetBooking Social Networking event at the Orlando Ale House on University, adjacent to Full Sail. No topic of discussion, just wings, beer and chatting.

For July, we have a great guest speaker planned. We will be hosting Accounting Consultant Jennifer Schuler who will be sharing Accounting and Bookkeeping Tips, Best Practices and Dos & Don'ts. For those of you that struggle with the business side of running a Video Production business, you won't want to miss this meeting!

February 2012 Meeting Recap

We are looking for interesting, compelling, exciting topics of discussion and featured presenters for upcoming meetings and we need your help!

Based on feedback from this month's meeting, we are looking for presentations in the following areas:

Business Topics, including business plans and how to run an effective business:

• Marketing
• Advertising
• Accounting
• Finance
• Pricing
• Sales

Production:

• Writing Proposals
• Producing/Pre-production

Featured Guests:

We are also looking for Featured Guests from a variety of industry disciplines for our An Evening With...series. Guests need not prepare an entire presentation as this is an informal Q and A session inspired by The Actor's Studio format.

If you have suggestions for specific presenters, please take the initiative to reach out to those contacts and check availability. Then, make a proposal to the board by contacting pvcfadmin@gmail.com so that we may follow through with your suggestions. Moving forward, we'd like to book the next several months in advance.

Also, we are looking for a venue to host a video professional soiree as part of our new membership drive. If you have connections to a venue who would like to host, please contact us at pvcfadmin@gmail.com. Please have contact info for a point person at the venue as well as an idea of when it might be available.

Next Meeting Tuesday February 28

The next PVCF Meeting will be Tuesday, February 28, 7-9 at PhotoMart.

This will be a networking night for open discussion of relevant topics. Networking will continue at the Ale House immediately following.

January's Meeting

Stop thinking that Audio is just "good enough" and up your game to beat the competition. Audio can make or break the quality of your video. Audio expert, Rick Alexander, will be our featured speaker, giving a little demo on field audio. Including microphone placement and technique, using a mixer, and various brands; from bad to good.

Admission for members is free, guests get two free admissions per year. Light refreshments and snacks will be served.
